We Hope this website serves as an introduction to CME Capital Management’s reason to be, our workings and our offerings which shall allow us to be partners in business towards mutual benefit.
In many ways UAE and yes, even the region is a sophisticated insurance market, but in many ways, there is scope for significant improvements to catch up and hopefully even surpass the West.
That is CME’s objective – to do our share in growing and improving the Risk Management environment in this region.
During my time here in the GCC based in Dubai I have seen incompetancies which are often due to lack of employee training, lack of employee morale caused by corporate leaders’ antiquated definitions of management which could include mistreatment, and dictatorial attitudes towards different stakeholders. I have seen top management reticence in making necessary investments which in the end sacrifices long term prosperity for short term gains – such as investment in training, new product expansion, IT advancements etc.
Keeping such observations in mind, CME is committed to doing all that is necessary in becoming a positive contributing corporate citizen of the United Arab Emirates.

Managing Director, and Chief Underwriting Officer
With a Bachelor’s in Economics and Political Science, and an MBA in Investment and International Finance. David has had a career including Mergers and Acquisitions structuring with a Wall Street firm, New Product development and underwriting of Credit and political risk insurance, E&O and Worker Protection Programs products at AIG, CIGNA, UNISTRAT and Dubai Insurance, out of New York, Miami and Paris, and Dubai.
David has been a member of the Innovative Business Solutions Team at Munich Re in Princeton and Munich underwriting Specialty Lines, and has also had stints as an insurance intermediary and consultant placing insurance and reinsurance at MDB Re in Brussels and AON, and Sterling Risk in New York. Further, in the UAE, as Executive Manager of Dubai Insurance Co. for many years, David was also instrumental in the design and implementation of the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation’s Worker Protection Program for all workers of the UAE and many of UAE’s leading Free Zones.
David continues to assist government entities throughout the region with national schemes whether these involve insurance, commerce, environment, or social programs.

A graduate of National University, Los Angeles, CA, was the first woman who received the title of ‘Accountable Manager’ from UAE’s Civil Aviation Administration when managing the operations of a Cargo Airline in the UAE with routes throughout the middle east and CIS; she has since worked on turnarounds in the Hotel Industry and also been involved with sourcing and distribution of industrial and consumer products across several geographic regions including the Middle East, CIS and South Asia.
